Some Things We Must Do

Some Things We Must Do

By Greg King

I have met some people who just simply do not like being told what to do. They are obstinate to the core. They reject any advice that could possibly contradict what they believe to be right. You can even show them the words of God and they ignore it because it doesn’t align with their thinking. They refuse to accept the fact that God has told us what to do and we MUST do it.

One who comes to God MUST believe in God and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

One MUST be born again to enter the kingdom of God (John 3:3-5).  To be born again is to be born of water and Spirit.  Furthermore, one is born again when he is baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; Rom. 6:4; Titus 3:5)

One MUST appear before the judgment seat of God (2Cor. 5:10).

One MUST worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

One MUST be subject to higher powers (Romans 13:1-5)

     One MUST repent (Luke 13:3).

     One MUST confess (Rom. 10:9-10).

One can refuse to do things of God, it’s their choice. They decide and then they MUST live with the consequences. However, they MUST know that they can not save themselves. Only God saves!

“And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,” Heb. 9:27

“and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,” 2 Thess. 1:7-9
